Blurple Lights Produce decent buds but not as good as True LEDs

I first tried “Blurple” LED lighting from KINGLED

They got me through the harvest and I ended up with some pretty alright buds. I was very proud of my first run; especially with the price tag on the LEDs coming in under $120.

I ran an auto-flowering strain and it seemed to respond well to the Blurple LEDs although the buds were not as Instagram ready as I had hoped.

This led to extensive research into light spectrum after noticing not many people were posting and sharing pictures of beautiful gardens illuminated by blurple LEDs. They instead used lights similar to the ones later discussed in the article.

Blurple Lights

Blurple lights are LED grow lights that produce a purple or blue-purple spectrum of light, and are reliable but probably not be the best option for growing cannabis.

The reason being, that these lights lack the red and orange spectrum of light that is essential for flowering and developing dense buds.

While blurple lights can promote vegetative growth, they can also result in smaller and less dense buds, a decrease in overall yield, and tall and lanky plants.

It’s important to use a full spectrum LED light that provides the right balance of blue, red, and green light for proper growth and development of buds throughout the cannabis growth cycle. This can lead to denser cannabis plants and heavier yields.

If you want to achieve the best results for your cannabis cultivation, invest in a quality LED light, especially during flower when bud production is at its peak.

Mars Hydro FC-E3000 BridgeLux 300W LED Grow Light

One of the LED lights that we highly recommend is the Mars Hydro FC-E3000 BridgeLux 300W LED Grow Light

This light offers high efficiency and quality with its dense light chips and special arrangement combination that results in even light distribution and stronger penetration.

With an efficiency of 2.8 µmol/j, this light does not require overdriving. It also has an exclusively designed spectrum with extra 410nm UV and 730nm IR that improves plant yield and taste, while the full spectrum provides the light needed for the whole growth period of plants.

This light comes with adjustable light bars that can be spaced according to the growing requirements of the plants for more accurate light spread and boost growth. It also has a dimming knob that adjusts 10-100% of the light, making dimming easier. The aluminum heat sink and passive cooling bar generate low heat, reducing cooling costs by over 50% compared to HID/HPS lights.
This light is perfect for perfect for a 3’x3′ tent.” Lights like this are able to produce 2g per watt.

Spider Farmer® SE3000 Full Spectrum LED Grow Light

Another strong option to consider is the Spider Farmer® SE3000 Full Spectrum LED Grow Light.

It has 896pcs of SAMSUNG LM301B diodes that draw 300 watts, producing 822.82umol/s and achieving an impressive PPE of 2.75 umol/J. The dimming knob allows growers to adjust the light intensity according to different growing stages

The upgraded full spectrum and dimmable feature of the SE3000 LED grow light is perfect for veg in a 4’x4’ growing and 3’x3’ during bloom. It easily powers each phase of the plant cycle

It’s also passively cooled with a detachable driver and long power cord that reduces ambient heat in the growing space for an extended lifespan.

Affordable & Professional Quality LED Grow Lights

After about two years of trials using those 3 companies I finally ended up with the buds I’ve been growing for.

The HYPHOTONFLUX HPF4000 480W LED Grow Light is what made my dreams come true. This light is equipped with market leader Samsung LM301B and Osram deep red diodes, drawing 480 watts and powered by a MEANWELL driver. It delivers PPF Efficacy up to 2.7 μmol/J and an average PPFD 1300 μmol/s @12″ in 4’x4′ coverage, making it easy to harvest 2.5g/w.

Not only does it feature a high-yield full spectrum including deep red 660nm diodes, but also it has enhanced passive cooling with 6 pure aluminum light bars for better heat dissipation and cooling.

It also has a detachable driver design that allows you to install the driver (ballast) outside the grow tent for even cooler operation

. With all these features, it will give you the densest, most potent buds in the shortest amount of time possible.

Investing in a quality LED light like the HPF4000 is the key to unlocking your full potential as a cannabis cultivator. The lower-wattage LED Lights did well but ultimately, I believe a higher wattage and a better light spectrum is what my plants truly needed to increase the density.

In conclusion, the right LED light can have a significant impact on the density and potency of your cannabis plants. While investing in a quality LED light like the Mars Hydro FC-E3000 BridgeLux 300W LED Grow Light or the HYPHOTONFLUX HPF4000 480W LED Grow Light is important, it is also important to note that other factors such as vapor pressure deficit, proper nutrients, and overall care are also crucial for a successful harvest. By balancing all of these elements, you can achieve the dense and potent buds you desire in a shorter amount of time.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned grower, the information and guidance provided in this article will help take your cannabis cultivation to the next level.
